Not the best waves this morning, but there were still some descent waves at Encuentro. Don’t know who this fellah is , but he hits the lip very nicely.
5.30am this morning! The first North swell of the year arrived during the night and I’d promised Drew that we’d go before school. We arrived at Encuentro just as daylight was breaking – surprised to see 4 other vehicles already there. North and North/east swells are what everyone is waiting for the whole summer; [...]
Euan and I walked along the main bay today and I took a couple of shots with my phone because the color of the sea and sand and sky were so lovely.
Nightly thunderstorms are pretty spectacular at the moment – endless flashes of lightening and very loud thunder are not doing Jasper’s fear factor any good though. He sits shaking beneath my desk. Grass is going into the surf camp garden now. All the windows are fitted and next week, all the bathroom equipment will be in. This afternoon, we take delivery of another big container of furniture, etc. More and more enquiries to deal with each day – it looks like Christmas may already be pretty full! [...]
Some strong wind came from nowhere yesterday – we both went out. Me on a directional board and a 9m kite – should have taken a 7 as I was hanging on for dear life and Jim went windsurfing. Jim took some shots around the bay – a typical windy Sunday in Cabarete. Euan is [...]
