Cabarete Games

Yesterday something rather unusual happened in Cabarete. A group of people managed to organize an event really well.

They pulled together 5 different schools to come to Sea Horse Ranch and compete in many different activities, running, cycling, football, tennis, long jump, sack races, arm wrestling and of course the Tug o’ War (which very nearly became a war with some of the parents, very funny). But, everything was done to a near-professional standard and that is unusual here.

We were kind of dreading the day – loads of hanging around normally, waiting for everything to start hours late because that’s what we are used to. However, the organizer of yesterday’s event, Renzo Olivia and many helpers, had worked so hard to get everything set up, that we were all able to enjoy a really fantastic, fun day.
