After a few seasons of on-and-off wind, Cabarete’s historically reliable summer trade winds are back with a vengeance.  At Swell, we are no longer worrying that those clients of ours who have booked their Learn to Kite courses will be disappointed; far from it, they are returning to the camp, completely exhausted from an awesome session of kiteboarding – enjoying their lessons at Kite Club.  The surfers are happy too, the wind has been picking up politely in the afternoon and there is even a good sizeable swell arriving this week.

Summer is often the best time to learn to surf as well as kiteboard – waves are more forgiving as a rule than those big Winter rollers we have from September to April.  If you are fit enough, sign up for both, then you cannot lose out whichever way the wind or waves flow……
