Do you ever get those weeks where you feel as though you have been in a pseudo boxing match – a little punch drunk from people giving you shit? This has been one of those weeks for me. I’m not going to whine about the gory details, but I’m glad that the week is nearly over. Thank goodness for Jim’s wise words and hugs.

On a lighter note, I learned that my eldest son (12 yrs) is not quite as smart as I thought; prone to staying up later than he should (10pm lights out), he’s quite good at pretending to be asleep on my final check before we go to bed. The night before last, it certainly looked that way. However, he has now been caught out by the modern day obsession for kids – Facebook. We have a Facebook account for the surf camp we are building and when I checked it yesterday morning, I see my son has posted the results of a ‘what is your inner demon’ Quiz at 11.35pm – apparently he is a ‘Galian Beast’ whatever that is. I can think of a few other more apt names – result? Laptop removed for a week.
