When my son and I were driving back from kite beach yesterday we both agreed that we love living here and we are lucky to be doing so.

Whatever challenges you have to face with life, it often makes it easier when the sun is shining and the wind blowing most of the time and you can take part in a sport that you love. I miss my family in the UK and especially often feel guilty about not seeing my parents regularly or my two sisters, to whom I am close. But I feel really as though the Dominican Republic IS my home and memories of living in the UK slowly fade away.

Neither Jim now I came to the D.R. to work, but life often leads you down paths you did not expect to follow and perhaps this is more the case when you take a drastic step in the first instance, like leaving your birth country.

There is only one life available, live your dream.
