North, North and more North

Hurrah!! The forecasted swell arrived exactly as promised on www.globalsurfers.com and www.windguru.com and it looks very pretty indeed.   How can a wave look pretty you wonder? Well, when it rolls strongly and with a shine to it like glass and it holds up and kind of ‘peels’ as it breaks slowly, well to us, that’s very pretty, in fact, it makes Jim and Sven drool with exitement and as there’s no wind for the whole day, they went surfing at 8 and it’s 11 now and still no sign of a return so I guess its completely perfect – it sure looked like it when I came back from teaching a nice full spinning class this morning.

Here’s Sven;

and even though these shots were taken last year, this is exactly the kind of wave they will be riding on now – Straight North, 11 second intervals and super glassy – Hai Chiki Day (jim’s favourite expression)
