So, Igor began to affect the waves in Cabarete today and guests of Swell enjoyed some nice rides this AM. It will get much bigger (a whole week of whoppers is forecasted courtesy of Igor, CAT 4 Hurricane and following close behind, Julia, also now a CAT 4 Hurricane). We are so very fortunate in our protected position, sandwiched between Puerto Rico and Cuba, that big storms pass us by, leaving us, not with debris of shattered buildings, but with epic surf conditions. This summer has been an exciting bonus for those of us who love the waves.
