Stand up paddle boarding lessons are available right on the main bay of Cabarete, which provides ideal conditions on many days of the year. The best season for learning is about to begin – spring and summer months.

Swell surf camp have two very good instructors available including Jim (pictured) and Luciano Gonzalez; 2010 Master of the Ocean, who will teach when those conditions are just right; smooth water and gentle waves. For more experienced stand up paddle boarders, a larger wave can often be found out on the reef at Bozo Beach, Cabarete’s main bay.
