Cabarete Spinning strikes again…..

This morning I taught spinning and had a lovely Dutch lady visiting from Holland where she is a very keen Spinner in a large gym in Amsterdam; once the class has finished, she immediately signed up for more lessons all next week, declaring that our spinning was incredible. I am very proud of that – it’s not easy to run a business in this country and keep it running with very high standards – let’s say it’s a challenge. Luckily, I have an awesome team of instructors who all have other jobs too, but LOVE their spinning so much that they are able to transfer that positive energy to everyone inside our studio. If you have never done a spinning class, let me tell you it’s not easy – it can be torture with the wrong music, poor quality bikes and/or bad instructors, like having your teeth pulled. Happy to say, it’s a fun experience with us.

My eldest son, Drew, turns 12 next Thursday. For his birthday treat, on Saturday, he and 7 friends will be going on a 3 hour dune buggy tour with the nice guy who runs it inside Breezes hotel – I booked it this morning. They did it once before and said it was fantastic. I always see people coming back from these outings; drenched and covered over every inch of skin with a thick layer of mud and barely able to open their eyes, but they are always laughing.

This morning was fairly stormy when I left the apartment but it’s clearing up nicely now – there are some fairly large waves but not the wind we were hoping for (yet).

The rest of the day I will be hoovering my car out and then taking some sunshine after Orchid transportation left a bit of a mess in my car. My son has a rehearsal for a band (he is playing drums) so i’ll head to the school around 4. Tonight is dinner out at Maraja, live band at Kite Club and then to the Casino in Sosua to win or lose some money………..
